Tiffany & Co. 'Custom Engraved' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Large Sifter/ Server, NYC, NY, 1870s

This rare item is either a large sugar sifter or pea server. Resembling a flower, the round, pierced, fluted bowl is beautifully gilt on its interior. Deeply chased aesthetic movement Indo/ Persian foliage designs cover the handle's front.

This wonderful server is marked 'TIFFANY & Co/ STERLING/ m.' It measures just shy of 8.5 inches long, weighs 2.95 troy ounces, and is in very good antique condition with light scratches to the bowl.
