Tiffany & Co Antique Sterling Silver Classical Coffee Pot, New York City, NY, c. 1885

Referred to as an after-dinner coffee pot for serving black coffee, this wonderful piece incorporates various classical designs to create a beautiful example of Tiffany holloware.

Against a horizontally line-textured background, beautiful figures, including dancing women, cherubs, a bird, and a male herm. Urns, foliate swirls, and swags decorate the body, while bold leaves decorate the handle and spout. A hinged domed cover surmounted with a decorative ball finial compliments the design around the body's base above the splayed, foliate foot.

This exotic sterling pot is hallmarked underneath 'TIFFANY & CO/ 7823 M 6153/ STERLING-SILVER.' It measures 9.75 inches high, weighs 22.20 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition. The ivory insulators have been beautifully replaced with synthetic ivory.
