George Shiebler Aesthetic Antique Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Paper Knife, NYC, NY, c. 1880s

This beautiful paper knife is in the dramatic form of a short saber with its curved, shaped blade. A scrolling handle and complimentary chasing on the blade flank the 14k gold medallion.

This lovely antique desk accessory is marked with Shiebler's trademark and 'STERLING/ 90X.' It measures 11.25 inches long, weighs 4.15 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed, and is in very good/ excellent antique condition.
