Durgin Antique Sterling Silver and Mahogany Wine Coaster, Concord, NH, c. 1910

Notify me when similar is available:

This is an unusual form and stunning coaster. It resembles a a large, round trivet as most coasters have side walls. Originally, it was likely used under a decanter rather than a bottle.

The interior is lovely mahogany wood with a neo-classical inlaid wheel with fan design. Encasing the perimeter of the platform is heavy gauge silver with a decorative interior accented with rivets.

This elegant coaster is marked with Durgin's trademark and 'STERLING/ 56'. It measures 7 inches in diameter and is in excellent antique condition.
