Gorham Hindostanee Pattern Sterling Ice Cream Server, Providence, RI, c. 1878

"Hindostanee" is a beautiful pattern with intricate exotic scroll design around a heart-shaped cartouche. The slightly curved blade is gilded and wonderfully hand-engraved with an exotic floral scene.

This lovely sterling silver server is marked with Gorham’s trademark and ‘STERLING/ PAT APPL FOR’.  It measures 10 inches long, weighs 3.40 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in excellent antique condition.
