Gorham Birds Design 'Bridal' Pattern Antique Coin Silver Napkin Ring, Providence, RI, c. 1865

This very rare napkin ring is oval in shape and made from heavy gauge silver. Two lovebirds with spread wings are perched on an olive branch. Gorham used motifs found on their 'Bridal' pattern flatware with two lovebirds in this design. The underside is beautifully engraved with an 'LY' monogram and the 'Nov 20, 1867' date.

This lovely napkin ring is stamped with Gorham's trademark and model number '370.' It measures just over 2.5 inches wide by just under 2 inches deep by 1.5 inches high to the top of the birds, weighs 2.15 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
