This is an exceptional pair of master salts with impressive weight and beautiful design. The bulbous bodies have applied cast foliage with a stippled background. The flared rim has a wavy border and a gadrooned top surface.

Three lion masks above lion paw feet are magnificently detailed with flowing manes and expressive faces baring teeth. A lion's tail wraps around the leg terminating above the hairy paw foot with extended claws. A crest of an arm clutching a dagger rising from a ducal coronet is finely engraved within an applied foliate wreath on one side of the salts.

These impressive salts are fully hallmarked underneath. The measure 3.5 inches wide by just over 2 inches high, weigh a hefty total of 17.05 troy ounces and are in excellent condition with light surface etching to the interior from use.
