The Jensen firm is famous for its unique designs and this serving set is a great example of their style incorporating nature into their objects.  Referred to as pattern number 39, this rare and unusual design features cast owls perched on blossoming globes rising from twist stems and foliate ornament above simple curved lines of beading.  The lovely bowls display subtle hammering.

Although the Jensen mark on the fork and spoon are different, the use of these marks overlap during the period from 1919-27 and are also stamped '39/ STERLING/ DENMARK.  The fork and spoon measure 9.25 and 9.5 inches long respectively have a combined weight of 8.15 troy ounces, have never been monogrammed and are in excellent antique condition.
