This is a rare bracelet made by Gladys Panis, wife of Stavre Gregor Panis. The 5-link bracelet with spring ring clasp is designed with 5 seahorses facing alternating directions.

Provenance:

This piece comes from the collection of a marine biologist and his wife who summered on the Cape while he worked at The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Most of the collection was purchased in the 1950s. They have descended in the family.

This lovely bracelet is stamped 'SGP' within a triangle and 'STERLING'. It measures 7 inches long, weighs 12 grams and it is in very good condition.
