Whiting (attr) Antique Sterling Silver 'Calla Lily' Pattern Tea Spoons, NYC, NY, c. 1870s

Usually, one only sees serving pieces in this pattern. This is the first time we've seen place pieces, making this set of 12 teaspoons quite rare. The wonderful flowers are beautifully executed, with stunning details on both sides of the handles.

Provenance: Private Collection.

These wonderful spoons are stamped 'STERLING' on the reverse. They measure 6 inches long, weigh a combined 12.25 troy ounces, have never been monogrammed, and aside from wear to the original gilding in the bowls, they are in excellent antique condition.
