J. F. Fradley & Co Antique Sterling Silver Naturalistic Bon Bon Server, New York City, c. 1890
Hold
Bonbon servers were very popular in the late 19th century, and this is a lovely example. The twisted wire handle emanates from a lily-pad bowl. Incorporated into the handle is a flowing leaf with flowers of lily-of-the-valley.
This uncommon server is marked on the back with Fradley's trademark along with 'STERLING/ 82'. It measures 6 inches long, weighs 0.85 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition.
