Shiebler Antique Sterling Silver Punch Bowl, New York City, c. 1900

Notify me when similar is available:

This is the largest example of Shiebler's silver we have ever seen. The demi-spherical body is bordered by a lovely shaped rim with clusters of grapes and leaves and swirling ornament. The border and grape clusters are cast and applied, the leaves are repousséd and the vines coming off the leaves are hand chased. The four applied feet are incredibly cast Iris blossoms.

It is marked underneath with Shiebler's winged S mark, 'sterling', the model number 186A, and 7QT. This stunning bowl weighs 49.5 ounces and measures 12.5 inches wide by 7.25 inches tall, has never been monogrammed and is in great condition.
