Jacobi & Jenkins Sterling Repousse Punch Bowl, Baltimore, MD, c. 1900

This lovely punch bowl displays the wonderfully bold, large repousse flowers and foliage on a stippled background for which Jacobi and Jenkins are famous. The pedestal, with its plain neck, is also decorated with the same repousse design. The base of the foot and top rim of the bowl are reinforced with cast and applied castings of scrolling leaves.

The partnership of Jacobi and Jenkins of Baltimore, Maryland dates from 1894-1908. They produced wonderful silver, especially their line of repoussed pieces which are prized by connoisseurs as some of the finest silver ever produced in Baltimore.

This lovely punch bowl is stamped 'JACOBI & JENKINS/ STERLING' along with their monument trademark. It measures 8 inches high by 11 inches round, weighs 52 troy ounces and is in excellent condition.
