Dominick & Haff Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Wine Coasters, New York City, NY, 1888

These sterling wine coasters are rare and exquisite. Exotic and robust flora completely envelop the bodies. Various repousséd flowers and leaves create an intriguing and stunning display. The inset, plain interiors contrast nicely with their surroundings and are beautifully engraved 'RL.' A good pair of American sterling coasters is hard to find and we have never seen ones like these before.

The coasters measure 2.25 inches high by 7.5 inches in diameter, are marked 'STERLING' along with  Dominick and Haff's trademark bearing the date of '1888' and the model number ''600.' Aside from some minor dings, scratches and slight traces of gilding to the interiors, they are in stunning condition and weigh a combined 33.60 troy ounces.
