Albert Coles Pair of Coin Silver Master Salts, New York City, c. 1860

Notify me when similar is available:

This is a lovely pair of master salts with cobalt blue glass liners. Beautifully designed with stepped pedestal vases, the sides of the bowls are hand-engraved with floral designs around cartouches. One side is engraved 'St. Clair' and the other side was never engraved.

The lovely handles are cast and applied classical and foliage designs.

These uncommon salts are marked underneath with Albert Coles trademark. They measure 3.5 inches across the handles by just shy of 2 inches high, weigh a combined weight of 4.05 troy ounces and are in lovely antique condition with wear to the interior and later glass liners.
