Tiffany & Co Antique Sterling Silver Salver, New York City, NY, c. 1865

This beautiful salver is a wonderful size, of good weight, and features excellent engraving. Bordered by a circular branch, the 'MR' monogram, against a textured background, is wonderfully executed and accented with leaves. Another circular branch has what looks like oak and vine leaves emanating outwards on both sides. This same motif is also used on its outermost surface around a circle of heart-shaped devices. The raised side has an applied edge with line decoration. The salver is elevated with three bold, classical feet.

This wonderful salver is marked 'TIFFANY & CO/ ENGLISH STERLING/ 925-1000/ 1602 5339/ m/ 11.' It measures 11 inches in diameter, weighs 23.5 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition.
