Stavre Gregor Panis Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Seahorse Bracelet, Falmouth, MA, c. 1950s

This wonderful cuff bracelet is created with the nautical inspiration for which Panis's silver is famous. Bordering the bracelet is rope decoration. Each of the five circular devices contain a seahorse amongst sea-grass. Hand engraving and piercing enhance the details of this lovely bracelet.

Provenance:

This piece comes from the collection of a marine biologist and his wife who summered on the Cape while he worked at The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Most of the collection was purchased in the 1950s. They have descended in the family.

This beautiful bracelet is stamped 'SGP' within a triangle and 'STERLING'. It measures 2.25 inches wide by 1 inch deep and about 6.25 in circumference (including the opening), weighs 24 grams and it is in very good condition.
