Gorham 'Rosette' Pattern Antique Sterling Serving Fork, Providence, RI, c. 1870

This lovely serving fork is made of heavy gauge silver. The handle features a rosette at its midsection and classical ornamentation above a 'AH' monogram. The outermost tines are hand-engraved as is the area above the tines.

This very useful serving fork is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING/ PAT. 68' and by the retailer 'M. MOIR'. It measures 8.5 inches long, weighs 2.60 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition.
