This rare fish knife and fork has a beautifully hammered surface to both sides of the handles. Applied at the tops of the handles are copper fish. The knife has a larger fish than the fork and they face opposite directions. Both fish are above an applied textured scene of sand. The tines are engraved with sea grass and the knife blade is engraved with bamboo-type grass and a bird in flight chasing an insect.

These uncommon pieces are marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING & OTHER METALS'. The knife also bears 'GORHAM' also stamped on the blade. The knife and fork measure 8.25 and 6.75 inches long respectively. They weigh a combined 3.45 troy ounces, have never been monogrammed and are in very good antique condition with light wear to the knife blade.
