Wood and Hughes Antique Sterling Silver Ice Cream Server, NYC, c. 1880's

This beautiful server, at the time of production an ice cream server, can be used for serving a myriad of foods. The shaped blade, with a matte finish, is beautifully gilded and engraved with swirling foliate design. The top of the handle depicts a small aesthetic flower with splaying leaves as a background.

This rare server is marked 'W&H/ STERLING.' It measures 10.5 inches long, weighs 2.45 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
