This rare serving fork is a large and dramatic example of aesthetic flatware. The handle is in the form of a vine which loops around the top. Two leaves are applied to the loop.

The stunning blade has a matte finish and gilt surface. The interior displays a shiny floral form design engraved with foliate, and pierced with floral decoration. The floral decoration resembles Egyptian lotuses. The reverse is engraved with an 'FH' monogram.

This magnificent server is marked 'W&H/ STERLING'. It measures just shy of 12.25 inches long, weighs 3.65 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with slight wear to the surface.
