William Veith Antique Sterling Silver Fish Slice, Halifax, Canada, 1848-56

Notify me when similar is available:

Silver from Halifax is quite rare and this is a lovely fish slice made of heavy gauge silver. The shaped handle has a nicely beveled edge and is engraved with an 'A' initial.

The pierced strainer blade exhibits foliate scroll work within two incised lines. The upper edge repeats the incised lines.

This rare server is fully hallmarked on the reverse. It measures 11 inches long, weighs 5.40 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition

Provenance: From the collection of Dale E. Bennett.
