Tifft & Whiting Six Coin Silver/ Mother-of-Pearl Luncheon Knives, North Attleboro, MA, c. 1860

These wonderful knives have silver, blunt ends and each are engraved on one side with a different, romanticized scene. Tapered handles exhibit lovely mother-of-pearl with all its beauty and shimmering iridescence. Each handle is constructed with a copper rod through the length of the handle securing it to the blade via the ferules. The ends are capped with silver.

These early knives are marked with Tifft & Whiting's trademark on the reverse of the blades and are also engraved 'Ennis.' They measure just shy of 8 inches long and are in very good/ excellent condition with one cap larger than the others, likely for reinforcement.
