Tiffany & Co 'Daisy Vine' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Bon-bon Spoons, NYC, c. 1880s
The 'Vine' pattern by Tiffany is a wonderful multi-motif line of silver flatware they produced incorporating ornamental flora into the design. Daisy is a striking pattern of vines traveling up the handle with leaves and three daisies. The back has a single vine with a daisy about to bloom. The blank area above this design on the back has never been monogrammed. The 3-dimensional pattern is enhanced on the front against a stippled background. The bowl is shaped like a shell.
This rare sterling silver bon-bon server is stamped 'TIFFANY & CO/ STERLING/ 751/ M'. It measures just shy of 5.5 inches long, weighs 1.45 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
