James Keating & Richard Flood Irish Antique Sterling Silver Gravy Ladle, Dublin, 1811
$0.00
This beautiful early 19th century sterling ladle is a great example of early Irish silver flatware. The gracefully curved handle is undecorated except for a lovely crest of a beacon at the top. The base of the handle on the reverse is discretely monogrammed 'W.M.R' in a block style likely from the early 20th century.
The highly important Redmond family of County Wexford, Ireland, is the only family listed with an 'R' initial who use this crest.
This rare Irish silver ladle is fully hallmarked. It measures 7.5 inches long, weighs 1.85 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition.
