Peer Smed Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Goblets, set of 8, New York City, c. 1931

This rare set of uniquely designed sterling glasses are created with exceptional skills by the important New York silversmith Peer Smed.

Subtle lobing and irregular surfaces of the cups create a striking, organic look. The circular bases are similarly designed.

Finely executed stems are representative of flower stalks unfolding. They terminate at the bowls with spreading shoots and ball (seed) decoration.

These wonderful drinking glasses are marked underneath 'PEER SMED/ STERLING/ 31'. They measure just shy of 5.5 inches tall by 3 inches around the top rim. They weigh a total 36 troy ounces and are in excellent antique condition.
