Arthur Stone Sterling Silver Arts & Crafts Serving Tray, Gardner, MA 1924-37

This is a lovely oval serving tray. It has a flat interior surface with raised sides. A wonderful border which incorporates the beautifully hand-pierced handles is applied.

This serving tray was made by Edgar L. Caron. He started with Stone in 1924 and continued working there until 1937. He also achieved Master Craftsman status with the Society of Arts and Crafts in Boston.(1)

An identical tray with an inscription is pictured in the Arthur Stone book.(2)

This cute arts & crafts tray is marked underneath with Stone's trademark along with 'STERLING/ C'. It measures 11.75 inches long by 8.75 inches deep, weighs 15.60 troy ounces and is in good antique condition with some interior scratches.
