This is a lovely bowl from the shop of Arthur Stone. It is hand-raised and has an applied ring foot underneath. It is wide and low. A feature of this bowl is that the decorative rim is a separate piece of unusual design which has been beautifully applied to the body.

Twelve decorative groupings decorate the lovely rim.

This beautiful sterling silver bowl is marked underneath with Stone's trademark and 'STERLING/ H'. The 'H' designates the piece having been raised by Arthur Hartwell who achieved Master Craftsman status at the Society of Arts & Crafts in Boston. It measures 8 inches in diameter by just over 1.5 inches high, weighs 15.35 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
