Whiting Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Goblets, Attleboro, MA or NYC, NY, c. 1870s
Exceptional engraving of egrets or herons among marsh grass decorate opposite areas of these lovely goblets. There are slight variations between the two birds. The background of the cups is a soft matte finish which contrasts nicely with the stem and pedestal base.
These beautiful goblets are marked underneath with Whiting's trademark and 'STERLING/ 93/C.' They measure just under 3.25 wide inches at the base by 6.5 inches tall, have a combined weight of 11.55 troy ounces, and are in excellent antique condition with light wear to the interior gilding of the cups.
