This is a lovely small bud vase executed in copper with a wonderful old patina. It has a plain, circular, stepped base and a lovely ruffled top edge. The body is beautifully textured in an aesthetic design. There are three silver appliques on the vase. In flight are two cranes with outstretched wings. Standing at the base is a small figure of a squirrel.
This unusual vase is marked underneath 'GORHAM CO' along with it's copper trademark along with 'Y108' and the 'Q' year mark for 1884. It measures 2 inches wide at the base by just over 4 inches high and is in very good antique condition.
