Albert Coles Antique Coin Silver ‘Jenny Lind’ Fish Serving Slice, NYC, NY, c. 1853

1 item left

This is a wonderful fish serving slice in the Jenny Lind pattern. The handle has classical ornamentation including leaves and strapwork. The blade is lovely. I'm always fascinated with the artistry exhibited with the engraving of these serving instruments. Scrolling foliate design decorate the blade with a central scene of a man standing in his boat fishing. The reverse of the blade has a cute engraved floral decoration.

This early server is marked with Albert Coles trademark. It measures 11.75 inches long and is in very good antique condition with overall light surface wear, a couple minor dings on the handle and a tiny nick to the tip of the blade.

Provenance: From the collection of Dale E. Bennett.
