Alvin 'Raphael' Pattern Sterling Silver Master Butter Knife, Sag Harbor, NY, c. 1905

'Raphael' is a stunning pattern executed in an Art Nouveau design. The handle is stunning with the full figure of a woman surrounded by robust foliage including a flower in bloom. Although not as densely detailed, the reverse also is decorated with foliage around the edge and top surrounding an engraved 'W' initial. The shaped blade is ornamented with a flower.
