Tiffany & Co. Blackberry Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Berry Spoon, NYC, 1902-07

1 item left

With deep blackberries and vines realistically flowing up the handle, Tiffany's 'Blackberry' pattern is one of their greatest naturalistic flatware patterns from the turn of the 20th century and a wonderful example of American art nouveau flatware. This delightful pattern was not made in a full line, but only select pieces.

Tiffany referred to the bowl's unique shape as 'kidney-shaped' (although it is often referred to as 'conch-shaped'). This bowl is gilded on both sides and shows slight wear to the gilding. The cartouche on the handle is monogrammed "MER."

This wonderful server is marked "TIFFANY & CO.," "MAKERS," and "STERLING," and "C." It is 9.375 inches long, weighs a hefty 3.75 troy ounces, and is in very good antique condition with very light wear to the gilding and scratches from use.
