One of the nicest slices we have ever had is this stunning, large ice cream slice with exceptional aesthetic movement chasing. Both sides of the handle and the front of the blade have a hammered surface. A twig with leaves, a berry, and a lovely dragonfly is chased on the handle. Chased on the blade is a gorgeous pond scene with marsh grass and a partially gilt waterlily. These varying designs were used on Dominick & Haff's flatware and holloware silver in the early 1880s, demonstrating their creativity and skill on some of their finest pieces.

This rare serving slice is marked with Dominick & Haff's trademark and 'STERLING.' It measures 12 inches long, weighs an impressive 7.60 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed, and is in excellent antique condition.
