Alvin Antique Sterling Silver Overlay Clear Glass Pitcher, Sag Harbor, NY, c. 1905

This lovely pitcher is a beautiful example of silver overlay with grapevines rising from the base and traveling around the conical body. Large leaves and bunches of grapes engraved with lovely details encapsulate the clear glass, allowing for the display of its contents. A shield on the front is engraved 'LRF.' A C-scroll handle is fully covered in silver, as is the open rim. 

This lovely pitcher is marked with Alvin's trademark and '999/1000 FINE 3802.' It measures 5.75 wide at the base by 9 inches to the top of the spout and is in excellent antique condition.
