S. Kirk and Son American Silver Pancake Server, Baltimore, MD, 1846-61

This small pancake (also referred to as buckwheat cakes) server is made in Kirk's famous repoussé pattern. The handle is a display of dense flowers with the reverse engraved with an 'MR' monogram. The circular blade is engraved with diaper-work of with crossed lines and flowers.

This cute server is marked 'S. KIRK & SON/ 1015.' It measures 7 inches long, weighs 1.90 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
