R Wallace and Sons Violet Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Olive Spoon, Wallingford, CT, c. 1910

Notify me when similar is available:

Violet is a delightful American art nouveau pattern that features sinuous violets along the front and (to a lesser extent) the back of the handle. This style olive spoon was only made around the turn of the century.  It has an oval bowl with conforming large piercing, and two small picks at the end of the bowl to grab the olive.

This rare server measures 7.75 inches long and is marked on the back with Wallace's trademark and "STERLING," "PAT. OCT. 27, 03" and by the San Francisco retailer "SHREVE & CO."  It weighs .9 troy ounces, is excellent antique condition and has never been monogrammed.
