This rare server is in the uncommon Lotus pattern by Gorham. The striking pattern has a plain handle with three lotus leaves at the top. Simulated rope binds the stems at top and base of the handle. The gilt spoon bowl has dramatic athemion lobing emanating from the handle end. The claw tongs are also gilt and beautifully detailed with scaled tines and pointed nails. The elbow of the tongs is engraved with a script 'WAE' monogram.

This stunning salad server is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING'. It measures 10.75 inches long, weighs 5.05 troy ounces and is in very very good condition with light surface scratches to the elbow.
