Gorham 'Bridal' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Pie Server, Providence, RI, c. 1869

This very rare pattern is designed with two kissing lovebirds (turtle doves) with outstretched wings perched on two "Grecian" (1) scrolls above an oval cartouche containing an engraved Gothic initial. Crossing ribbons hang down from the oval. The shaped blade is beautifully engraved with classical motifs. This extremely rare pattern was only made in servers.

This lovely server is stamped with Gorham's trademark, 'STERLING/ PATENT 1868'. This server measures 10.75 inches long, weighs 3 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
