American Coin Silver Antique Double-Olive server, c. 1870
This is a lovely olive server with the trident fork at one end and a scalloped, gilt and pierced bowl at the other. The handle has a twist design and a shield at the midsection with hand-engraved decoration. During the period olive servers such as this, with a spoon at one end and a fork or spear at the other, were often referred to as 'ideal' olive servers.
This great olive server is only marked 'COIN.' It measures 9.75 inches long, weighs .85 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition.
