Resting on four ball feet, this small dish is created as a crumpled napkin. Marvelous details are incorporated into this wonderful dish. The irregular shape is bordered with a faux-fringed edge. Various chased, engraved, and acid-etched designs create an intricate interior that is lightly gilded and includes wonderful aesthetic foliage on its flat interior and rising edges.

This lovely dish is marked 'W&H/ 191/ A/ STERLING.' It measures 5 inches across at the midsections of the rim by 7.25 inches from corner to corner. It is 2 inches tall at the corners. This rare dish weighs 4.80 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with wear to the gilding on the ruffled edge.
