Tiffany & Co. Antique Sterling Silver and Wood Salad Serving Set, NYC, NY, c. 1880

Hammered gilt sterling covers with single rings of beading cap the ends of these rare and lovely servers. On the functional end, the carved wooden handles fit into hammered gilt silver sleeves, also decorated with beaded rings. The handles are secured with pins on each side. The sleeves, along with the beautifully gilt bowls, are hammered in a honeycomb design.

These wonderful, antique servers are marked 'TIFFANY & CO/STERLING/ M/ 152.' They measure 12 inches long and are in very good/ excellent antique condition with light (visible in the photos) wear to the staining on the wood handles.
