This rare hooded serving scoop is a stunning serving piece. The conical handle is made of multiple parts connected with finely beaded rings.

The elongated bowl with raised sides has a light gold wash to the front and back surfaces. The blade hood is a stunning example of pierce-work and chasing, displaying flowing flowers and leaves surrounding an oval cartouche engraved 'EDH'.

This rare server is marked on the back '925' and by the retailer 'NE CRITTENDEN'. It measures 8.75 inches long, weighs 2.50 troy ounces and is in very good condition with light wear to the surface.
