Dominick and Haff Antique Sterling Silver and Other Metal Fruit Fork, NYC, NY, c. 1880's

This is a very cute fruit serving fork with an unusual shape designed with aesthetic taste. The handle is chased on the front with an array of flowers and hand-finished with lovely details. An applied sprig at the top is made of copper. The shaped prongs are lightly gilt to beautify and also protect the silver from acidic fruits.

This lovely, small server is marked on the back with 'D&H/ STERLING.' It measures just over 6 inches long, weighs .90 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in very good antique condition with a tiny nick to the tip of the top tine.
