Attached to the body is a beautiful pedestal base with shaped border of applied scroll devices and four foliate feet.

This stunning centerpiece is marked underneath with Gale & Son's trademark with the 1856 date along with 'Wm. GALE & SON/ NEW-YORK'.

It measures 10 inches in diameter by just over 6 inches high, weighs 23.65 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
