Jonathan Hayne Queen's Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Fish Server, London, 1826/27

This magnificent server has a pierced blade with a wonderful, bold scallop decoration at the handle join. The handle is beautifully made with the "Queens" pattern well articulated on both sides.

This server likely came from an amazing service, as it bears the crest of the Hamilton family. The Hamiltons are one of Scotland's most noble families, claiming many Dukes, Marquisses, Earls, Viscounts, Barons, and Knights (not to mention other very wealthy people). Without further heraldic devices, it is impossible to know which Hamilton owned this wonderful server.

This exceptional piece measures 11.25 inches long and is fully marked on the back of the handle. It weighs a hefty 5.65 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.  It is simply a delight to use.
