A. E. Warner Antique American Silver Soup Ladle, Baltimore, MD, c. 1840
This stunning ladle has a lovely curved fiddle-shaped handle engraved with an original script 'HEC' monogram and is made from heavy gauge silver. Andrew Ellicott Warner made some fantastic hollow- and flatware, and this large ladle is an excellent example of his shop's quality.
This early and rare ladle is marked on the back 'A. E. Warner' and '10 15'. This silver punch represents the coin silver standard. This elegant ladle measures 12.5 inches long, weighs 6.25 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition.
