Howard & Co Antique Sterling Silver Candlesticks, New York City, NY, 1904, set of 6

Rarely does one find an original set of six large candlesticks of this quality and beauty. Howard & Company is known for making and selling high-end, elegant silver, for which these easily qualify. Original removable bobeche are cast as cascading leaves atop the leaf-formed socles. The shoulders have hanging leaves bordering shell devices above simple beading along the plain stems. Swirling foliage blanket the dramatic and impressive domed bases.

This lovely set is marked with the model number '140' on the side and underneath 'Howard & CO/ STERLING/ NEW YORK/ 1904.' They are engraved underneath 'GF' along with the date 'Feb 15, 1905.' They measure 12.75 inches tall and are in very good/ excellent antique condition.
