Gorham Antique Sterling Silver Bright-cut Serving Fork, Providence, RI, c. 1880s

This is a beautiful serving fork for multiple uses. The handle is a striking display of hand-engraved florets on a stippled background.

The lower part of the handle is decorated with a series of horizontal lines. The front and back of the bowl and tines has a lovely applied gold wash and is decorated on the front with striking exotic engraving.

This lovely server is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING'. It measures 9.5 inches long, weighs 3.25 troy ounces, has never been engraved and is in excellent antique condition with refreshed gilding.
