Great pattern, great pieces, great box! We love to find these original boxes - not only are they rare themselves, but usually the silver found in them is in great condition. These useful servers are in very good antique condition and the original gilding sets off wonderfully against the deep salmon satin. The box and each piece is marked by the retailer, the venerable firm of Shreve, Crump and Low in Boston. Both the blade and tines are embellished with bright cut engraving of lily of the valleys. The fork measures 9.25 inches long and the slice measures 12.5 inches long, together they weight 8.45 troy ounces and have never been monogrammed.
